Mr. Markley joined the Neurology Center in 1979. He received his BS in Mathematics and Natural Science from Washington and Lee University in 1975. His prior experience includes service in the United States Army, as a Triage Tech in the Medical Outpatient Clinic at Walter Reed Army Hospital and as an EMT in Emergency Room at Walter Reed. He began working at the Neurology Center as a CT tech. In 1980, he began working in the EMG department at Barlow and soon became supervisor of EMG at Barlow. He became supervisor of all neurophysiology techs when EMG and EEG labs were combined. He passed ABRET registration in EEG and EP in October 1988 and passed the AAET registry exam in NCT the following year. He has served as president of a local END tech society and in 2004 was elected to the ASET, the national END tech society, board of trustees.
